HAUNTED BY HEROES To Release Debut Album This Month
January 3, 2013Pacifica, California-based hard rock/metal four-piece HAUNTED BY HEROES — which is composed of 12-year-old middle school students — will release its self-titled debut album on January 19 via Alfadkidz Records. The CD was produced by Sylvia Massy, who has previously worked with such luminaries as REM, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, DEFTONES, SYSTEM OF A DOWN and TOOL. A video for the album's first single, "Devil's Slide", will be made available the same day.
TWISTED SISTER frontman Dee Snider joined HAUNTED BY HEROES, often called "the world's youngest rock band" by some, on the September 6, 2012 edition of "America's Got Talent" to perform the TS classic "We're Not Gonna Take It".
HAUNTED BY HEROES has played over 100 live shows, and has been profiled on several national news networks. The band was featured on the "Today" show, where Matt Lauer called them "unique, with a larger-than-life sound."
According to a press release, "HAUNTED BY HEROES is NOT a contrived band looking for a short-term career but rather a truly organic professional group of gifted musicians who just happen to be historically young... They rock hard to spread the word that young people can create their own destiny and dreams can come true. Lyrically, they message antibullying, staying true to who you are and believing in oneself. Musically, they perform with the conviction and talent of their rock heroes."
